Gryphon: Our household pet gentleman of unknown but very fine parantage in his first and only cat show.

He was shown in the Household Pet division at the 2002 Birmingham, Alabama show....

and although he behaved very well he hated it. We will never ask him to show again.

He will be content watching over "his" coonie cats and kittens.

"Drat.... I know I could climb this thing if my legs were longer!!"

I've included this photo for those not familiar with Maine Coon cats. Please note the drop in the spinal vertebral line just behind the hip bone. This is a trait that is a rather unique to the Maine Coon, one other breed of cat, and German Shepherd dogs. It gives them a definitive gait and stance that is striking.
